CASE STUDY: GIRLS LEADERSHIP ACADEMY OF WILMINGTON

GLOW’s student achievement growth reflects the power of sustained investment in instructional leadership. A significant turning point in the school’s academic outcomes aligned with its decision to deeply prioritize strong instructional systems, leadership development, and consistent coaching practices centered on high-quality teaching and learning. Through disciplined implementation and an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement, GLOW created the conditions for exceptional student success. While the results belong to the school’s dedicated leaders and teachers, we are honored to support their work and proud that our instructional leadership framework has contributed to a model of success that other schools now look to for inspiration and guidance.

The ILC impacted me as a leader by improving my practice. I feel empowered now in my role to impact teacher development and, through that, scholar learning.
